China Telecom leaks the iPhone 6 on Weibo

Sina News

Call it a big oops moment -- but it seems the next iPhone and its official tagline -- "Even Better" -- has been outed by carrier China Telecom on the Chinese version of Twitter -- Weibo. Sina News reports that the now deleted post included a picture of the new design of the smartphone, as well as confirming it will be called the iPhone 6.

There's been plenty of leaks already, but this leak is as official as you can get. Apple's usual secrecy seems to have sprung plenty of leaks in Asia. Earlier on this month, a Thai official confirmed that it would be called the iPhone 6 and would launch in Thailand, but the name was never officially confirmed.

The leaked picture seems to confirm previous leaks -- including a new design for Apple's iPhone that bears a resemblance to the current iPad Air. While size wasn't revealed in the post, it's likely the upcoming Apple phone will be larger than the 5, at 4.7 inches, with a larger 5.5-inch model a possibility as well.
